Table Tennis Australia

TTA handles personal information in accordance with the TTA Privacy Policy. Although TTA does not currently provide any personal information to external parties and has no intention of providing any personal information to external parties in the future, by ticking the box below, I do not consent to my personal information being provided to any third parties that are not affiliated with TTA, TTA insurers, professional advisers (e.g. accountants, auditors, lawyers, etc.) and relevant sporting bodies (e.g. Sports Australia)


Table Tennis Tasmania

 

Terms & Conditions of Membership   

  1. Membership runs for a calendar year only [1 January to 31 December].

  2. An individual must be registered as a member of an affiliated association / club – thus, an individual cannot seek direct membership of Table Tennis Tasmania.

  3. Upon registration, an individual becomes a member of the nominated association / club, Table Tennis Tasmania and Table Tennis Australia. Thus, an individual is bound by the Constitution and relevant by-laws of Table Tennis Australia, Table Tennis Tasmania and the nominated association / club.

  4. An individual must be registered as a member when he / she has participated in at least 3 recreational matches, 3 pennant competition rounds, 1 open/closed tournament or is nominated as an official.

  5. Where an individual is eligible for registration under 2 or more levels, the individual must be registered at the higher level – for example, where an individual works as an umpire and also participates in open tournaments, the individual must register for Full – Membership.

  6. The level Recreational – Membership is available for an individual who plays for recreation but does not play in any pennant competition match or any type of tournament within Tasmania.

  7. The level Officials/Social Non-Playing – Membership is available for an individual who does not play table tennis in any form but is directly connected to the sport – this includes referees, umpires, coaches, committee members of associations / clubs, etc.

  8. The level Regional – Membership is available for an individual who plays Table Tennis conducted in any NON- affiliated association / club in Tasmania. Program - Membership caters for participants in special once-off community programs.

  9. The level Full – Membership is available for an individual who plays in any type of pennant competition match and/or approved open tournament incl. State League in Tasmania. These individuals can be selected for State or National Teams and participate in Open Tournaments in Australia etc.

  10. Importantly, note that where an individual seeks registration on or after 1 October, he / she may register at the Recreational – Membership level for the remainder of the year irrespective of the activity.

  11. Membership (Full, Recreational, Officials/Social) entitles an individual to coverage under the Insurance Scheme administered by Table Tennis Australia Ltd, unless the membership category states w/o insurance. However, an individual should note any limitations of such insurance coverage prior to any engagement in table tennis activities.

  12. Upon registration, a member agrees to report any injury, damage or loss suffered during any table tennis activity as soon as practicable to his or her nominated association /club.

  13. Upon registration, a member provides consent to medical treatment (if deemed necessary) where a member is suffering injury or illness as a consequence of participating in any table tennis activity.

  14. Upon registration, a member agrees not to consume alcohol or illicit drugs during the holding of any table tennis activity.

  15. The personal information contained in this Membership Application Form is collected, stored and used in accordance with the TTA Privacy Policy (available at www.tabletennis.org.au).

  16. I have read and understood and agree to abide by the Australian National Anti-Doping Policy, effective from 1 January 2021, and found on the Sport Integrity Australia website being the anti-doping policy adopted by TTA and applicable to all members, participants and non-participants (https://www.sportintegrity.gov.au/what-we-do/anti-doping/2021-world-anti-doping-code/australian-national-anti-doping-policy)  


Southern Tasmanian Table Tennis Association Inc.

Conditions:

  • I agree to be bound by the Constitution and By-Laws of the Southern Tasmanian Table Tennis Association Incorporated, Table Tennis Tasmania Incorporated and Table Tennis Australia.
  • I agree to play and umpire in accordance with the ITTF Laws of Table Tennis.
  • I agree to follow STTTA policies and rules, including roster rules and COVID-19 requirements.
  • I agree to change (in the stadium) into clean non-marking sports shoes to prevent damage to the Taraflex flooring.
  • I will not take food or drinks onto court, will clean the kitchen if I use it and will put litter in the bin or recycling.
  • Whenever I practise, I agree to record my name, membership number and arrival time in the register.
  • I will ensure my children do not enter the office or control booth without permission.
  • I agree not to use the robot unless I have been trained and authorised (unless being supervised by a coach).
  • I will report damage or unacceptable behaviour to a roster coordinator, club official or the KSC front desk.
  • I agree to pay my roster fee before 7.30pm.
  • If last out, I will lock the office, turn off lights, and advise KSC front desk that the stadium has been vacated.
  • I understand that the committee and roster organisers are all volunteers and rely on my cooperation and help.

Privacy, Social Media, Photographs and Newsletter

Your personal details are collected and used by STTTA only for official purposes relating to club activities. Your information will be stored on the revolutioniseSPORT database managed by Table Tennis Australia (TTA) and may be accessed by authorised members or staff of TTA and Table Tennis Tasmania. Roster lists are on public display on the notice board in the table tennis stadium and show your name and phone number. STTTA has a website and Facebook page, used to provide information and current news and for promotional purposes. Your name and photograph may be used if you have given permission. Photographs may be used if you play in championships. If you have any concerns about a photo or item we have published, please advise us. Please note: the STTTA Newsletter is the principal means of communication from the club to members. Correspondence to secretary@sttta.org.au

Membership

Membership fees cover your state/national levy and include accident insurance. Full membership is compulsory for all roster and championship players and no discounts apply. Anyone joining for the sole purpose of entering a championship must pay the full member fee and is not entitled to free practice ($5 session fee payable). Recreational members play socially. Membership is required for anyone who has played on three occasions in any capacity. Guest players must be financial members of an ITTF affiliated association (including insurance), must complete this application form and provide proof of registration if requested. Membership cards are issued. Family discount $20 for adult family members at same address, for annual recreational membership only.

Practice Sessions

All Full and Recreational Members and TTA registered Guest Players may play socially or practise any time the sports centre is open and the stadium is not in official use. Members are welcome to bring unregistered guests or family to try out table tennis for a maximum of three times, after which membership or the session fee is payable. Non-member guests of STTTA pay a $5 session fee each time they play. Casual members of the public who are not invited guests of STTTA pay the casual fee at the KSC counter. Children must be adequately supervised by a responsible adult.
